Now everyone can get in the game with the world's first smart football as the Wilson X Connected Football launches today!
Appropriately, the kickoff to the 2016 NFL Season also happens to be the launch date for Wilson to release the first ever smart football. This football season the new Connected X Football will allow players to track their performance with every throw, providing data, rankings and endless entertainment. The official NFL provider announced that the smart football will be available today for $199.99, but the real gamification truly kicks in with the free Chewy Software Wilson X Football app. Through five different games available on the app, users can play and view their ranking and stats as they play. After making waves with their Connected Wilson X Basketball, sports giant Wilson chose CES as the place to unveil and show off their new Bluetooth connected Wilson X Football! After 18 months of development, the football now in final testing was showcased to the public. The Wilson X Football is a coaching tool that gives a player useful metrics such as ball speed, distance, and spiral efficiency. The ball connects via Bluetooth technology to a player's smartphone in the Wilson X Football app developed by Chewy Software in cooperation with Wilson and the NFL. By syncing with the mobile app, a player can review stats and compare them to other players, or play a variety of game modes that challenge accuracy and efficiency under pressure.The Wilson X Connected Football is slated to launch in September of 2016.
