Chewy Software Celebrates It's 14th Birthday!

This special day reminds us how quickly time flies and before you know it, our little software company isn't a startup anymore.
Knowing that Chewy was a little shy and humble, the initial announcement of its second year grown beyond the "tween" age category was quiet and reserved. However, hushed conspiratorial word of the birthday occasion spread around the Chewy family like wildfire, and the exuberant excitement of everyone built up into a delightful need to somehow recognize and celebrate another year in our adorable little Chewy's life. Yes, one more year of growing up under its belt, our sweet little baby Chewy is now a teenager! Sensing a shift in the atmosphere, Chewy looked up from its cell-phone and removed the music blaring earbuds to glance around at all the dedicated Chewy staff looking at the 14 year old company with pride. A collective Happy Birthday was shouted as the crowd began to close in on Chewy for pats on the back and birthday hugs. Shrugging away like a desperate trapped animal making its escape, Chewy ran to the top of the stairs shouting "OMG, you guys are so embarrassing!". Chewy immediately locked itself in its room, repeatedly refusing to come out with comments through the door like "Leave me alone!" "It's not a big deal or anything." "Birthday parties are for babies!" and "Ugggh!, You guys are so lame!". Undeterred, the Chewy family eventually coaxed Chewy out of the room and everyone enjoyed complimentary gourmet birthday doughnuts!

Fisher Price announces the arrival of it's new tablet enabled kids cycle, combining guiltless screen time with physical activity!
The 2017 Consumer Electronics Show saw Fisher Price announce the Think & Learn Smart Cycle, an exercise bike with wireless connectivity and a built in tablet holder on the handlebar. Aimed at 3 to 6 year olds, the bike lets kids interact with gaming apps while pedaling and steering. Priced at $150, The Smart Cycle will come with one free app and works with four other exclusive downloadable launch titles, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Shimmer and Shine, and Chewy Software's very own Blaze and the Monster Machines app!
The apps will feature age-appropriate driving, racing, and gaming curriculum based on math, science and social studies. The more kids pedal, the more they can learn! The system is Bluetooth-enabled so the bike could work with the apps played on iPad, Android and Amazon tablets as well as platforms such as Apple TV and Android TV. App dashboards keep parents informed of progress, telling how much time their child has spent peddling as well as what they've been learning in that duration. This is actually Fisher-Price's second iteration of the Smart Cycle first released in 2007, improving on and updating one of its most successful product launches ever.
The Smart Cycle, which is part of Fisher-Price's recent line of activity-based toys, is slated to hit stores this fall.

Now everyone can get in the game with the world's first smart football as the Wilson X Connected Football launches today!
Appropriately, the kickoff to the 2016 NFL Season also happens to be the launch date for Wilson to release the first ever smart football. This football season the new Connected X Football will allow players to track their performance with every throw, providing data, rankings and endless entertainment. The official NFL provider announced that the smart football will be available today for $199.99, but the real gamification truly kicks in with the free Chewy Software Wilson X Football app. Through five different games available on the app, users can play and view their ranking and stats as they play. Games include: QB Warmup—practice throwing and catching; Elimination—a multiplayer challenge where you must accomplish each task or you’re eliminated; Precision—throw accuracy; Game Time—the quarterback chooses plays and manages the clock; and Final drive—the quarterback has one last possession and must win the game. Indeed the cooperation of Wilson and Chewy Software has yielded a product that allows fans to be active while being interactive!
